Ixcell’s Scholarship Fund

There are some people who come into our lives and leave their mark in ways that become more rich with time. As we reflect on the life lived we feel so fortunate to have had met them, to be counted among those who are now left with the joy of sharing the story of one whose life still challenges, enriches, and overall encourages us of the things that truly matter.

Ixcell was one of those very people. Having lived a life that was fragrant with the loving-kindness of Jesus. Whose gentle, yet vibrant spirit is one that continues to point others to the goodness of Christ.

Born November 27, 1996, Ixcell was a daughter, sister, friend and a new bride. She had been described as kind, caring, faithful and loyal. She loved dancing, spending time with her family, husband and her dearest friends. Always had a listening ear and a kind word. She valued friendships and knew the importance in investing in them. She believed in those who often didn’t believe in themselves.

On November 14, 2016, Ixcell went to be with Jesus. After many years of battling medical issues her fighter spirit never relented. She overcame every obstacle and never gave up hope.

Ixcell was beginning her college career until her health started preventing her from continuing. Along with Ixcell’s family we are establishing this Scholarship Fund in her name. The purpose of this scholarship is to give other students the opportunity to pursue higher education in Nicaragua.

It is our pleasure here at Vision Nicaragua, alongside Ixcell’s family, to extend the opportunity to you to honor her memory in giving toward her Scholarship Fund.
