Your planned Vision Nicaragua Trip

We are excited that your church is planning a trip to Nicaragua ! We thank God for the many short term mission trips to the community of Bethel, which is outside the city of Chichigalpa . God is using friends like you to minister to the many needs of people in Nicaragua. At the same time, you will find that God will use this trip to change your life! It truly is a life-changing experience!

Many of the Vision Nicaragua teams have been made up of individuals, coming together to serve as a team from different churches, and even different cities. Many of our team members do not know each other before the trip, yet leave as good friends. As a church, you have an opportunity to serve on a short term mission trip with those whom you already know and love. This unique opportunity can give a greater level of comfort to those going for the first time, and can also bond good friends for life. In order for a church trip through Vision Nicaragua to be established, a minimum number of ten team members will need to commit to go. Smaller church groups are welcome to join with other team members to form a larger team, as the fixed costs in-country need to be borne by a team of ten or more. Thank you for your understanding.

From planning, to going, to returning, Vision Nicaragua will appoint a veteran short term missionary representative to be a part of your church team, and will help you plan your trip, and then go with your team to Nicaragua. Our veteran representative will coordinate your schedule and your church's in-country mission experience with the local church pastors and leaders in order to help meet the specific needs of the time you are there.

Your church will travel and minister together as a team. All travel arrangements and accommodations will be made by Vision Nicaragua, and the $1,500 per person mission trip fee covers everything except airport meals and souvenir purchases. A $500 deposit per person must be submitted six weeks before the trip with all team members established and committed. The balance must be submitted four weeks before the trip. Any cancellations will be subject to the loss of the deposit.

Late additions to the team may be possible, depending on flight availability. All team members must have a valid passport, and attend the six pre-trip meetings hosted by Vision Nicaragua at your church. Our pre-trip training meetings will cover important fund-raising and pre-travel preparation, as well as what to expect, and how to interact with our friends in Nicaragua.
